Student Services/Equity BehaviourSupport Teachers (Behaviour) There are five-support teachers (behaviour) located in the Armidale District. Children enrolled in an early intervention setting in their transition year to a government school may also be provided service in the interests of successful transition to school. Students with disabilities supported in regular classes and in support classes are eligible for Support Teachers (Behaviour) support. Any student whose enrolment is a risk as a result of their misbehaviour may be eligible for flexible behaviour support. Students who have a history of violence and a number of previous interventions get priority for these funds. Students who may ultimately satisfy guidelines for State Integration Program support may also access these funds as an interim measure. Any student with a psychological disability as diagnosed by a clinical psychologist or a psychiatrist may be eligible for Funding Support 2000. Where an Aboriginal student’s enrolment is in jeopardy because of severe behaviour problems, funding may be accessed to support individual interventions.
