Gender Equity

The District Gender Equity Facilitation team is able to offer the following workshops to your staff:

• Food for Thought & Action (2 hours)

• Girls and Boys at School: Gender Equity Strategy 1966-2000 (2 hours)

• Boys and Literacy (7 different Professional Development workshops available).

• Teaching Units – Boys and Literacy (various K-12 units)

 Consultancy Services

Alison Armstrong, Duval HS and Ruth Ernest, Guyra CS are the District’s Gender Equity facilitators. They can be contacted through the District Office (Keith Petersen) and are available to visit your school to help you.

We hold a collection of books and the Genderwrite newsletters as well as an annotated list of resources.

We are able to assist you in the editing of your school’s Gender Equity Policy.

We anticipated that a District gender Equity Conference with a Boy’s and Literacy them would be held this year. We’ll keep you posted.
